Yet another sign of spring. Baseball on a spectacular spring evening. It’s the season opener for Salt Spring baseball (Pee Wee division). The Duncan catcher is looking right into the seven o’clock sun, but the batter has his eye on the ball.

Salt Spring FC and Powell River Villa played on a muddy pitch this weekend at Portlock Park. With cold, rain, wind and a bit of hail thrown in, it was an exciting season’s end game.
