It is a bit of different world out there at sunrise. And this time of year at 48 degrees N, it’s not that early (about 7:30). But it is getting earlier…

this is beautiful. that red really pops, especially in this early morning.
The sun, low on the horizon, had just illuminated the red pier. I almost missed it because I thought the pre-dawn light was best and I’d already started back to the truck.

It’s also close to where I live, so there’s no good reason not to get out there! The trick (and I haven’t figured it out yet) is to know which days to go and which days not to go.
